Which pathway is right for you?

Our autism assessments are subdivided by age because the process, the tools and the information we gather are genuinely different. Both pathways follow NICE guidance, involve a multidisciplinary team and end with a clear written report and ongoing support.

Children & young people

Ages 4-17

Enrolment and pre-assessment forms for parents or carers, plus a school pre-assessment form
ADOS-2 observation at The Chill Out Centre or within the school setting
ADI-R clinical history in a three to four hour online consultation
MDT review, virtual feedback session and report within four to six weeks

Child autism pathway

Adults

Aged 18 and over, fully online across the UK

Questionnaires and pre-assessment forms, plus a required informant who knows you well
Clinical review and MDT screening at a weekly clinical meeting
Assessment using ADI-R, ACIA or RAADS-R, chosen by the clinical team
Feedback appointment and comprehensive report within four to six weeks
