Education Navigation

Helping Families Understand Educational Pathways

Helping families navigate complex systems with confidence, so you can take part in meetings knowing what is being discussed and what you can ask for.

What support may include

Practical guidance through the education system

Every family arrives at a different point. Some are at the very start and unsure whether to raise a concern. Others are already in a review process and want to understand what the paperwork actually means.

  • SEN Support guidance
  • EHCP understanding
  • School placement discussions
  • Transition planning
  • Educational pathway support
  • Understanding available options

In short

What is Education Navigation?

Education Navigation is specialist guidance for families moving through the education system. A specialist SENCO helps you understand SEN Support, the EHCP process, placement options and transition planning, so you know what is available, what to ask and what happens next.

Working together

We work with your school, not against it

We are not an advocacy service. We are specialist educational professionals. Our aim is to help schools and families work collaboratively to identify practical and achievable solutions that support positive outcomes.

Children achieve their best outcomes when schools, families and specialists work together.

Answers

Questions about Education Navigation

Written to be genuinely useful, and short enough to read at the end of a long day.

Do you help schools use assessment reports?
Yes. Schools often ask what to do with a report. We help translate assessment outcomes and recommendations into support plans, provision and classroom practice, and identify what should be monitored and reviewed.
Can families access this support directly?
Yes. Education Navigation is designed for families. It helps parents and carers understand SEN Support, EHCP processes, placement options and transition planning so they can take part in meetings with confidence.
Do you take sides between schools and families?
No. Our role is not to create conflict. We understand the pressures schools face and the challenges families face, and we work to help both sides reach practical decisions in the best interests of the child.
How do we get started?
Book an education consultation. We will talk through your setting or your situation, suggest a proportionate starting point and confirm costs in writing before any work begins.
