Education Partnerships

Bridging The Gap Between Families, Schools and Specialist Support

Schools are facing increasing pressures. Families are often navigating complex systems. Children and young people can become caught between education, healthcare and support services. At Sensational Minds, we help bring these worlds together.

Answers

Education partnership questions

Written to be genuinely useful, and short enough to read at the end of a long day.

Are you an advocacy service?
No. We are not an advocacy service. We are specialist educational professionals. Our aim is to help schools and families work collaboratively to identify practical and achievable solutions that support positive outcomes for the child or young person.
Who delivers the education work?
Our education work is led by Rhiann Marchant, a teacher and specialist SENCO with more than 15 years of experience across education, alongside colleagues with neurodevelopmental assessment and family support expertise.
Can you consult about an individual pupil?
Yes. Complex case consultation is one of the most requested parts of our work. With appropriate consent in place, we can look at the information available, help the team make sense of it and agree practical next steps for provision and communication.
Do you help schools use assessment reports?
Yes. Schools often ask what to do with a report. We help translate assessment outcomes and recommendations into support plans, provision and classroom practice, and identify what should be monitored and reviewed.
Can training be delivered in school?
Yes. Training can be delivered in person at your setting, online, or as part of a wider partnership. Sessions can be shaped to fit twilight slots, INSET days or longer programmes across the year.
Do you work with multi-academy trusts?
Yes. Strategic Education Partnerships are designed for MATs, trusts, independent schools, local authorities and other educational organisations that need consistency across several settings.
Can families access this support directly?
Yes. Education Navigation is designed for families. It helps parents and carers understand SEN Support, EHCP processes, placement options and transition planning so they can take part in meetings with confidence.
Do you take sides between schools and families?
No. Our role is not to create conflict. We understand the pressures schools face and the challenges families face, and we work to help both sides reach practical decisions in the best interests of the child.
How do we get started?
Book an education consultation. We will talk through your setting or your situation, suggest a proportionate starting point and confirm costs in writing before any work begins.
