Sessions are led by the young person's own goals, with strategies shared with the adults around them where that is agreed.
- Emotional regulation
- Confidence building
- Self-advocacy
- Managing change
- Flexibility of thinking
- Neurodivergent identity
- Social understanding
Where sessions take place
Three ways to access coaching
- In the child's school or setting
- At the Sensational Minds centre in Colchester
- Online where that suits the young person
In short
Where does coaching take place?
Coaching and mentoring can be delivered in the child's school, in person at The Chill Out Centre in Colchester by appointment, or online. Schools can commission coaching directly and families can arrange it themselves.
