Colchester and the surrounding villages sit within Essex County Council's SEND area, so EHC needs assessment requests go to Essex County Council and the Essex Local Offer applies.
We work regularly with Colchester primary and secondary schools and with the town's sixth form and college SEN teams, and are used to the specific evidence formats their SEN departments prefer.
Colchester has a large military and ex-service community. We are experienced in assessing children in families who have moved frequently, where school history is fragmented across several counties, a common reason concerns get lost between referrals.
