SENsational Minds is an independent

Education Advisory and Autism Assessment Service based in Essex.


We pride ourselves on supporting families, children, young people and adults who are neurodiverse. We have recently launched our Autism Assessment Service. We are offering assessments for children aged 3 years through to adulthood.



EXPERIENCE


Our lead assessor, Rhiann Marchant, has a BA Hons in Primary Education with teaching experience of 15 years. She is a fully qualified SENCO of 12 years. She holds a Masters degree in Autism from the University of Birmingham as well as holding the qualification for ADOS-2 clinical practice. Rhiann also is 3Di clinically trained. Rhiann is registered with the Teaching Regulation Agency. 


Rhiann works in collaboration with a range of professionals including clinical psycharitists, psychotherapists and speech and language therapists to complete Autism assessments. This multi-disciplinary team approach is recognised and approved by the NICE clinical guidelines for autism assessment.  

AUTISM ASSESSMENT SERVICE


SENsational Minds is an independent provider of Autism assessments for children and adults based in North East Essex.


The assessments are delivered in line with  NICE clinical guidelines. All assessments are completed by two qualified clinicians completing the ADOS-2 observation as well as a full versions of the ADI-R clinical interview. Full clinical reports and recommendations are provided following an assessment.

EDUCATIONAL ISSUES AND SUPPORT


Support and advice for parents can be provided for transitional purposes, One Planning, EHCP application support, Annual Review reports as well as expert tribunal advice. SENsational Minds can also support parents with fixed-term and perminent exclusions. 

POST DIAGNOSTIC SUPPORT


SENsational Minds strives to work with children, young people and adults to understand their diagnosis. Recommendations and support can be given in the form of post-diagnosis support such as training, 1:1 sessions and even small group session. The importance of post-diagnostic support is to enable people to gain and understanding of themselves and look for strategies to get the most from their school, college or workplace.
