Mark Wilson is our specialist SpLD assessor, with a strong background in education, inclusion and dyslexia assessment. He holds a BSc (Hons), PGCE, NASENCo, CPT3A and PgDip, and is a member of PATOSS, BPS and NASEN.
The biggest take away is this organisation is one of the only ones I’ve come across that leaves the person being assessed feeling absolutely seen. There is no generic diagnosis report- each and everyone is bespoke to the clients presentation, struggles but also ( so refreshingly!!! ) their strengths too!

Dyslexia (Specific Learning Difference) assessment
Our Specific Learning Difference (SpLD) assessments, including dyslexia, are available through self-referral, so you do not need a GP, health professional or SENCO referral to access them.
They are designed to give you a clear understanding of an individual’s learning profile, helping to identify where difficulties may be arising and what support may be most helpful.

Once enrolled through our secure online platform, pre-assessment questionnaires are completed before the assessment begins.
For children, we also gather information from school and ask a SENCO or teacher to complete forms in advance so we can build a fuller picture.
Children’s assessments are available from age 8 upwards.

We ask for evidence of a recent sight test for all clients, and for children we also require a recent hearing test.
This helps make sure the assessment is not affected by unidentified sensory needs.

Assessments are usually carried out virtually and last around 2 to 3 hours, with face-to-face assessment available if needed, although additional fees may apply.
All assessments meet SASC and APC standards, giving you confidence in the quality and validity of the process.
We talk over the outcome with you and give you a full report within 4–6 weeks of the feedback session.
